A mum has caused a heated debate online after revealing that she pulls the finger at her toddler.
"She definitely doesn’t see and it makes me feel better and is always at home, not out and about etc. My sister thinks it’s appalling." the woman wrote on Mumsnet.
People didn't take long to jump in with their views...
"I think it's disgusting to do that to your own innocent child. Whether they see or not it is a horrible thing to do and you should be ashamed of yourself." one person wrote.
"I think that’s quite horrible. Would you like your toddler doing that behind your back when they’re adults?" added another.
"I don’t think it’s really acceptable to be honest. She’ll eventually catch you (and do it to others)." pointed out someone else.
But not everyone thought it was a big deal, with some even confessing they've done the same thing!
"I'm sure loads of people will be here soon to tell you that it's wrong but I've done it..." one person wrote.
Another confessed they'd done it to other members of their family too!
"My daughter is 13 now and never caught me. I do it to my husband too... It relieves stress just like swearing does and is harmless. Ignore the pearl clutchers."
Do you think there's anything wrong with the mum's actions?
