Woman flies across the world to tell friend "you're it" in international tag game

Don't hate the player, hate the game!

An American woman proved how dedicated she was to the game when she flew across the globe to tag her friend "you're it!"

Drew McEwan was stunned when his friend Georgina Wilkinson showed up at his niece's christening.

With help from Drew's family who knew about her joke, Georgina dressed as a gardener and pretended to tend to the gardens at Scotland's Loch Lomond.

As Drew and his family were taking photos, the photographer, who was in on the joke, asked Drew if he could tell the gardener to move out of the shot.

To his shock, he was speechless as Georgina tagged him and gleefully ran away in her gardener's costume.

"The ceremony went without a hitch, and so did the family photos afterwards. That was, until, Drew McEwan was dispatched to get the lowly groundskeeper out of a group shot," she posted with the video on Facebook.

"Sorry Drewbs, you are now... IT."

As soon as she completed the deed, Georgina then flew back on an eight-hour flight back home.

Drew, Georgina and eight others have been playing their epic Tag game since first becoming friends in China in 2014.

Drew told The Mirror that he didn't even get a chance to talk to Georgina, explaining "you have to just tag and run, you can’t stay and chat."

“I was in shock that she’d put so much effort into it. Flying over from America and back in one day is unbelievable. She had to make sure she was home in plenty of time for work on Monday. It’s my turn to tag one of the group now."

“Obviously I’m not pleased with the bar Georgina’s raised for me but I must admit it was brilliantly executed."
