A bride has shared how she managed to create her dream wedding by sticking to her budget of $3000.
"Think to yourself, ‘What do I want?’ No, really, though, ‘What do I want?" she told PureWow.
"If you like a tradition, keep it. If you don’t, skip it! There’s so much freedom when you decide to do things the way you truly want, rather than how you think you’re supposed to."
Although the bride is from overseas, with the average cost of a Kiwi wedding being around $35,000 you could definitely pick up a few tips to cut on some costs!
The bride used a lot of things she already owned, like a wooden alter from the garden along with chairs and pillows. She found other decorations from second hand shops and tidied them up a bit.
They kept the guest list short at 22 people and got catering done by their favourite Mexican takeaway nearby. Instead of a wedding cake they opted for a selection of mini pies.
The biggest cost was on the photographer, who captured some beautiful pics from their big day...
Just goes to show, with a bit of clever thinking you can still achieve the look you've dreamed of and save a few dollars at the same time!
