Turns out pizza for breakfast isn't actually all that bad.
“You may be surprised to find out that an average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories,” Chelsey Amer, a nutritionist told The Daily Meal on Monday. “However, pizza packs a much larger protein punch, which will keep you full and boost satiety throughout the morning.”
Many of the popular cereals we see on our supermarket shelves are jam-packed full of sugar where as at least while pizza is fatty, it is protein rich meaning it will actually keep you fuller throughout the day and will help you avoid a major sugar comedown.
“I am not endorsing pizza as the healthiest breakfast option,” Amer revealed, continuing, “Many cereals marketed for breakfast contain as much sugar as a candy bar."
