One group member's recent finding in her kitchen was of particular interest, alerting many other members to the fact that fridge drip trays exist! Who knew?!
One woman posted to the group saying she had never known why she couldn't find the source of the unpleasant smell in her fridge, despite cleaning it regularly. Until she finally discovered one day that it was coming from the drip tray, which she had no idea existed.
The tray was extremely mouldy and dirty, with the woman posting the following to the Facebook group to alert others:
The post was followed by many comments from shocked members, admitting they never knew of the trays existence either.
One member commented: "Omg I never knew this!!!! I've always had freestanding but have integrated now. I am gutted, I really want to clean mine! Xx"
Another shared a photo of her own disgusting tray, saying: "Omg, I want to kiss you and kill you at same time bbz. As if I've never known this... now how to get it off."
"Haha we had the same thing, I even threw the rug out as [I] thought one of the little ones split some milk on it! But yes it turned out to be the drip tray at the back of the fridge lol," another said.
