Most siblings bicker from time to time, but one family member you probably haven't bickered with is the family dog. It will come as no surprise then that most people prefer hanging out with their family dog than their siblings.
The study, conducted in the UK, found that dogs make people more happy than interaction with their siblings.
"Anyone who has loved a childhood pet knows that we turn to them for companionship and disclosure, just like relationships between people." the researchers said.
"Even though pets may not fully understand or respond verbally, the level of disclosure to pets was no less than to siblings."
"The fact that pets cannot understand or talk back may even be a benefit as it means they are completely non-judgmental."
