Mum fuming after son sent home from preschool with rude note on his stomach

Not on!

A US mum was left outraged after staff at her son's preschool sent her a rude message by writing on his stomach in green marker.

Heather Chisum, from Florida, says she noticed the note which read "Mom I'm out of diapers - pls read my report" while changing her toddler Milo's nappy after work.

She took to Facebook this week to seek advice on the ordeal:

Heather says the childcare staff put daily reports in her children's lunch boxes to let her know if either of them needs more nappies or wipes.

"I'm a single mom with a full-time job and two very young children. I guess yesterday they wrote on his report that he needs diapers and I failed to see that,” she said.

So instead she was faced with the brutal message across her son's tummy in permanent marker.

"I see several teachers at pick up and drop off. A simple 'Hey Heather, your son needs diapers, maybe you missed the report', would have done the trick," she said.

Heather said in the post that she tried to wash the words off her son several times but they were still visible.

The post gained thousands of reactions, with one fellow mother writing: "Not okay! I would file a report! I cannot even imagine!", and another saying "I would sue the daycare that is totally unacceptable!"

Chisum sarcastically added that "the best part" of the ordeal is that this wasn't the first time the daycare centre left a message in such an unorthodox way.

"THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME. They've done this several months ago too," she finished the post.

We don’t blame her for being furious - there are much better and easier methods for communication. Here’s hoping nothing similar has happened in any of our NZ daycares!
