If you've ever pondered if you would suit a shorter doo, well a new trick making the rounds on the internet claims to help see if you will look with short hair before you commit to it.
THE RULE:
1. Hold a pencil horizontally under your chin.
2. Position a ruler vertically under your ear.
3. Measure the distance from the bottom of your ear down to the pencil.
If you measure less than 5.7cm, congratulations! Short hair should look fab on you!
If your measurements come up longer than 5.7cm, then there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't just take the plunge anyway. At the end of the day it is hair and it will grow back!
