We all enjoy a perfectly crispy chip, don't we? Imagine reaching into your favourite crispy treat and uncovering a soggy nightmare, only to realise the cause is an entire potato buried at the bottom of the bag!
That is exactly what happened to Helen Reed when she peeked inside her freshly opened bag and discovered an entire “smelly” potato.
The first indication that the snack might not be as enjoyable as she had hoped was the wet chips in the bag, rather than the typical dry, light touch.
Hellen said: "The bag didn't feel heavy, it felt normal. I knew that something was a bit strange because when I took a crisp out it was really soggy.”
"I thought the packet must have been opened but I then looked inside and found this lovely potato sitting there.
"It was quite a decent size, it was a bit bigger than a golf ball. The potato was soggy and squishy and smelled a bit funny,” she added.
Luckily, Hellen found the whole thing funny and shared the snaps of the unfortunate situation on social media to give us all a good laugh too.
Real Crisps were then contacted about the rogue potato and they sent Helen a box of different flavoured crisps for her to try as an apology.
What we wanna know is how the heck that potato got in there in the first place? You can’t get a bag of chips more real than that!
