Rock superstar and frontwoman for Fleetwood Mac Stevie Nicks once posed for a bunch of photos in a self-defense book for women and the she looks fierce!

‘Hands Off!: A Unique New System of Self Defence Against Assault for the Women of Today’ is the name of the book. It came out in 1983 and was written by Bob Jones - a martial arts teacher who also worked security for some of the biggest names in rock, Fleetwood Mac being one of those bands.

Check out some of the pics of Stevie below.

Jones says that Nicks was easy to work with and knew her stuff, rocking up and kicking metaphorical ass in her go-to boots, with the two managing to take more than enough photos in a relatively quick time span.

“This lady was a professional,” he said, as reported by Open Culture. “In two hours I had a hundred of the most magnificent photos ever offered to the martial arts, and just one would make the cover [pictured below].”

“On the day of the shoot I was standing in my martial arts training uniform, wearing my Black Belt,” the Australian bodyguard continued.

“Stevie wore her familiar thick-soled, thick-heeled, knee-high brown suede kid leather boots. High roll-over socks appeared over top of these elegant Swedish boots and hung tentatively around her knees.”

Those “elegant Swedish boots” look like they would’ve really hurt if Stevie had to use them in a real-life situation.

Unfortunately, the book is no longer available to buy. You can, however, visit Jones’ website where he gives a pretty in-depth run down about what the book contains.

After enough time and effort, Jones says the book will give you “a newfound degree of awareness, confidence and self esteem”.

I guess we'll start calling her Stevie Kicks now!
