US singer defends photos of her young kids with ‘strange’ six-pack abs

"My kids having a mass amount of genetic and built muscle from athletics is 'weird'?"

Jessie James Decker is absolutely not tolerating online trolls after being criticised for sharing a photo of her young kids' “strange” muscles on social media.

After the American country singer posted a family pic to her Instagram, the comments were quickly flooded with her followers urging that the star “should have known better” and calling the unnatural feature of her children “strange” for their age.

The photo in question shows Jessie’s daughter Vivianne who is 8 years old and her two sons Eric Jr who is 7 and Forrest aged 4.

"That doesn't look right … Sorry, not sorry," one Instagram user wrote of the kids' abs.

Another assumed that Jessie must have used an app asking: “This is a joke right?! Lol”

A third simply questioned: “How do they all have little six-packs?”

Fed up with the negative comments hitting out at her muscular kids, Jessie wrote in a later post responding to the criticism: “When I posted the pix of our vacation and included the kids being silly flexing on the beach on our thanksgiving trip I had NO clue it would get the reaction it did.”

Jessie continued: “Being accused of photoshopping abs on my kids (I can’t help but laugh) or … the polar opposite over “overtraining” our kids makes me realize how bizarre our world has gotten regarding the body and what’s normal and what’s not.”

Meanwhile, fans and friends of the singer praised the mother for keeping her kids fit and healthy.

Selma Blair who competed against Jessie on season 31 of 'DWTS' praised the little ones, writing, "I love these smiles. The strength. So in their bodies. Fun goals."

Another says it’s not Jess’ fault for the trolls' negative reactions: “Ur the best momma to these babies!! Y’all kill it. Not ur problem u have the best gene pool!! Cutest, sweetest and most humble family!! Love y’all!”

“Insanity! Keep doing you! Obviously what you’re doing is working,” wrote a third.
