Dad shares the most hilariously accurate 'day in the life of a toddler' we can all relate to

"Based on a true story!"

One dad has shared a hilariously relatable video parodying a day in the life of a toddler and parents are loving every second of it!

We all know the mind of a young toddler is a mystery within itself - they change their mind more than they need a nappy change.

TikTok comedian @mattyacton does a brilliant job at imitating the madness that goes on in our young ones' heads.

I mean he deserves an Oscar for that performance - I really believed him for a second there!

Acton really captures what it means to be a toddler starting off with an early wake-up call at 4:30 am. “I could go back to sleep, but my mommy’s been missing me all night, so I wake her up with a smack in the face,” Acton’s narration explains over a shot of him throwing a pillow straight at the camera.

He also perfectly describes the breakfast debacle that goes on in any home with a youngin.

“Not in that bowl, no! That’s not my favourite bowl. Pink is my favourite,” Acton’s narration states over footage of him passing back the first bowl of cereal before being replaced with a pink one.

As a typical toddler would, Acton changes his mind 10973 times before settling on yoghurt for breakfast, but even that gets tossed for the smallest bite of an apple.

Of course, after breakfast comes the dreaded choice of what to wear, and unlike breakfast, Acton knew exactly what outfit to pick.

“I wear something ridiculous out of the dress-up box that doesn’t match, or something dirty,” Acton explains.

“I throw my first tantrum of the day because mom won’t let me wear that dirty shirt,” we all know that one too well!

Parents have flocked to the comments section to share their love for the comedian's imitation with one joking “based on a true story”.

Another wrote: “Spot on! The only thing you left out is the constant question of ‘Why? Yeah, but why?’ One hundred times a day.”

“You forgot the silent stare inches away from your face watching you sleep,” a third parent mentioned.

Acton definitely does a great job of capturing the emotional range of a toddler and you can check out more of his vids HERE.
