Here's how you can check how many 1 star ratings you have on the Uber app

If you're not happy with your ratings, we've got some tips to get you a few extra fives!

Ever wondered what your Uber rating is and why?

We've all been in Ubers when we're a bit worse for wear, but with this newfound feature, you might figure out why your rating isn't quite perfect.

Thanks to one clever TikToker, you can now access a full breakdown of your average rating in the Uber app's new Privacy Centre. You can see how many drivers rated you 5 stars, 1 star and everything in between.

Emma, aka @emmataintment, has gone viral for sharing how you can check your rating status.

In the clip, she explains that all you have to do is go into settings, press privacy and then privacy centre.

  • In the privacy centre, swipe to the right and click on the "would you like to see a summary of how you use Uber" tile
  • Scroll down to the “browse your data” section, tap on “View my ratings” to see the breakdown of your ratings

Honestly, it would be pretty hard to come by a full 5-star rating, so don't stress if you're something like a 4.8.

I was freaking out that 4 drivers had given me 1 star, and then I found out my boss had a whopping 17 - remind me never to let her in my car!

If you got a less-than-average rating, don't stress - here are five ways to keep your rating intact from Uber NZ.

Be ready - Make sure you don't leave your Uber waiting and that you're prepared and ready when they arrive at your location.
Leave it as you found it - Many drivers may be using their personal vehicle for Uber, so make sure you take any rubbish with you and leave it exactly how you found it. Easy!
Treat everyone and everything with respect - Always treat your driver and their vehicle as you would want to be treated. Simple.
Don't slam the door! - While you may not realise you're doing it, many Uber drivers will deduct stars if you slam the door, so remember, close it lightly!
Be polite - A simple 'how are you?' or 'how has your day been?' goes a long way. Give it a go!

Happy Ubering!
