We’ve all had the moment, we’re gifted an exquisite bottle of wine, you’re getting ready to dig into it with some friends and then… the cork. Worse yet, you don’t have a corkscrew on hand.
Rather than completely destroying the cork by trying to pick it out of the neck, Tyreese on Tiktok has shared her clever way to pop open that bottle.
In a video posted to TikTok, @ty.ree.suh demonstrates her technique with a sharp knife and any fork from your cutlery drawer.
Just stab the knife deep into the cork as an anchor. Then, hook the fork around the knife, forming a makeshift lever. Now just rotate the fork (carefully) and pull the cork upward.

This will be a lot easier than trying to pick out the cork piece by piece, or even trying to attempt the dreaded shoe technique…
