AirBnB has peeled back the layers (just like an onion) to reveal that you can now stay in Shrek’s Swamp!
An exact replica of the same muddy, moss-covered swamp where our favourite green guy lives is located in the Scottish Highlands.

We know Shrek doesn’t like others being in his swamp, but AirBnB says Donkey is house-sitting this Halloween.
“He’s rolling out the welcome mat to host fairytale creatures of all kinds while he’s there.”
In his listing, Donkey writes: “You know what I like about it? Everything. The overgrown landscaping, the modest interiors, the nice boulders, all of it. I can’t wait for guests to experience this muddy slice of paradise for themselves.”
From the looks of it, you’ll stay in an enchanting-looking tree house, complete with “Beware” and “STAY OUT”, but we’ll pretend we didn’t see those.

Oh, and if you need to pop to the loo while you’re there the outhouse is only a few steps outside the front door, so watch out for frogs.

While we thought livin' la vida ogre might cost a few hundred gum drop buttons a night, AirBnB says it's free!
Between the 27-29th of October three guests can stay in the swamp for free, but you might need to find a dragon or plane (whatever is easier) to get you there.
According to AirBnB the bookings open on October 14th and Donkey will pick his favourite ‘brogres’ to stay with him.
So, whether it’s near or far far away, you can bet that I’ll be booking the next flight to have Donkey cook me some waffles in the morning.
