Our very own Faves Joe Cotton and Lana Searle are heading to Fiji to win $50,000!

More FM's own Joe Cotton and Lana Searle are going after that treasure, again!

New Zealand reality TV competition 'Treasure Island' is back for 2023, with two of our favourites competing in this year's format: 'Fans v Faves'.

The television show, which will be in its seventh season, will see eight fans of the Celebrity Treasure Island franchise compete against eight former Treasure Island competitors for a chance at $50,000 to win for their chosen charities.

Lana Searle previously competed in the 2021 season of Celebrity Treasure Island, where she was a leader for Team Katipō, and infamously bought a controversial pizza for one gold coin for her team. Lana won $10,000 for her charity finishing 9th in her season. This year, Lana will be raising money for The Cake Detective, an organisation that allows every child to feel uniquely celebrated on their birthday regardless of their circumstances.

Joe Cotton competed in Celebrity Treasure Island in 2004, alongside Faves teammate Josh Kronfeld who also won their season. Joe had her own controversial moment too when she and Josh Kronfeld cheated during a Treasure Island challenge.

Joe will compete on behalf of Motor Neurone Disease NZ, a charity that supports people living with MND, a charity that is close to her and her More FM Southland co-host Steve.

Our gals will be roughing it out on Fiji's Mamanuca Islands, competing alongside former Bachelor Art Green, dancer Lance Savali, Breakfast presenter Matty McLean and squash champion/former race relations commissioner Dame Susan Devoy.

We can't wait to see Joe & Lana compete this season when it premieres January 30 on TV2 and TVNZ+.
