One Wellington Foo Fighters fan is turning to her fellow citizens of Aotearoa to help her get the band a very special delivery.
Amber Penketh recently began a t-shirt printing business and decided to use her skills to commemorate the Foos’ late, great drummer, Taylor Hawkins. On black shirts, she printed an outline of his face, one of his quotes and on the shirts' sleeve, an outline of NZ with our flag inside of it.
She made one for each band member, with their surname on the back. Having done the hard yards in actually making them, Amber is appealing to her fellow Foo-heads to help her get them to the band.
“Anyone on here working the security for the Foo Fighters?” she asked on the Wellington community Facebook page Vic Deals. “I have a massive favour to ask… I made the Foos all a t-shirt in memory of the great Taylor. I'm just hoping they can get them.”
With the Foos not set to play in the capital until Saturday (tickets still available here), Amber still has a bit of time to get the job done. The Welly community has done its best to lead her in the right direction in the comments, but currently to no avail.
I wish I could tell you that we’ve got an in with the band and we could sort it for her, but sadly, that's not the case.
If you know anyone with the slightest connection to someone with an in (this is New Zealand, so at least one of you do, surely!) get in touch with Amber or us and let’s get those Foos their shirts.
