Auckland singer-songwriter Cecily rounded out 2020 with her punchy single ‘Feast’ and is back to kick off the new year with her latest track ‘I’. The synthy pop number explores the idea of needing to break up with someone toxic in your life. Something many people have likely experienced, but Cecily throws in the added curveball of that person being herself.

What inspired your song I?
My song 'I' was inspired by my melancholic state that occurred after I had felt rejected by a few people close to me and I was feeling too tired to make any real life progress so I just wallowed in my own sadness.
