When Flynny and his partner Jo headed to the local pub for a relaxed Saturday session, they didn't expect to encounter a man with the most refreshing positive attitude you could find.
Des was frequent at their local, and at first glance, you may notice his unusual walk or his slow-processed speech.
But behind some of those physical barriers was a good bloke who was mentally sharp with great wit and humour. And over the course of a couple of hours and a couple of cold ones, Des shared his eventful life story with Flynny and Jo.
However, there was a table that was less than friendly to Des and hearing the hurtful comments they made about his new friend has left quite an imprint on Flynny.
