Every household loves their air fryer, they have become a staple appliance in the kiwi kitchen, but no one likes having to clean them.
With all the trending recipes and tips on how to make the most of our air fryers, it's no surprise that they can get a little dirty over time.
Thankfully someone has come to the party with a fantastic way to remove all the grease and build-up that clings on for dear life to our favourite kitchen appliance.
@frosieperez shared the tip on TikTok, saying you should drop a tablespoon of baking soda into your air fryer, and spread it around.
Then add three teaspoons of detergent, followed by three tablespoons of white vinegar.
This might seem like it’s just created more of a mess but don't worry, add two cups of hot (not boiling) water and leave it alone for about 10 minutes.
After that, you’ll be able to pour it all out and give one final scrub with a sponge and soap for any leftover residue.
People took to the comments to share how they loved how easy this made the whole process, with others also pointing out that using a bit of baking paper when you're cooking could help avoid this whole situation too.
Others have also warned against pouring oily greasy down the drain as it could end up clocking your drain in the long run, so make sure you dispose of the water properly.
