Many of us know and love Sammy. We’ve known her from her time with Si & Gary, through to her time on The Breakfast Club, and all the way to her taking over the More FM night show before heading off on maternity to start her family with soon-to-be fiance Sam.
Since then life has been a bit of a tough rollercoaster for the Sams (as Lana calls them).
Sammy was due to return from her maternity leave to More FM in the coming weeks, but on Thursday (05.10.23) Lana shared with us a heartbreaking update on their family situation.

Two weeks ago Sammy asked Lana if she would be the celebrant to marry them in an intimate ceremony because the cancer had come back for Sam.
“The tumour is inoperable and due to the rapid growth of it doctors have given Samuel the life expectancy of months, not years”

Despite undergoing radiation treatment, which he is scheduled to begin, there are concerns among doctors that it might worsen Samuel's condition. However, since his health is deteriorating regardless, they are willing to explore this option.
The progression has been very rapid for Samuel with symptoms affecting his left side, therefore having major impacts on his mobility.
The next step in treatment involves a non-funded medication but unfortunately, life insurance is not an option for the couple.
Sam has made the diction to become the primary caregiver for not only their one-year-old Luna, but also Samual through his condition.
